Thank you to the fabulous presenters and all who came out to celebrate Ignite™ Laramie at the Gryphon Theatre, as part of Giving Voice: A Wyoming Listening Project. Videos from the event are available online, and plans for additional Ignite events are in the works. The engaging, fast-paced, speaking event in Laramie focused on journey stories as an introduction to the Museum on Main Street: Journey Stories 2014 Wyoming tour slated for six communities. Presenters shared personal and professional passions, in five-minute, 20-slide presentations. The mixed-media talks made for a lively evening of community storytelling. An element of the Wyoming Humanities Council’s Giving Voice: A Wyoming Listening Project, Ignite Laramie was funded in part by the Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources through funding provided by the Wyoming State Legislature. The council thanks the legislature for their investment in bringing Wyoming communities together through the underwriting of community grants and projects.
